JacquelineJacqueline Fernandez (born 11 August 1985) is a Sri Lankan actress and model. Apart from her appearance in reality shows and music videos She has also worked in Indian films most of them in Hindi. Beginning her career with Aladin in 2009 and has since started her career in the Hindi film industry. Fernandez was born in Bahrain to a multiracial Eurasian couple with Sri Lankan, Canadian and Malaysian descent. She graduated in mass communication at the University of Sydney, and was a reporter for a television station in Sri Lanka. Then she started her modeling career. She was Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2006 and represented her country in Miss Universe 2006. Fernandez was the subject of an investigation in relation to a money laundering case which involved Rs200 million from December 2021. Fernandez was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate for 10 hours on the 9th of December 2021. Fernandez's request for a downgrade of the Lookout Circular, (LOC) that was issued in her case and preventing her from traveling out of India was denied by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on 22 December.
