Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota - journalist, writer, host of the CNN's "New Day" morning program, Westport resident and Westport Country Playhouse trustee - has been elected to the Westport Country Playhouse board. Camerota has been an journalist for 30 years, was a reporter for news and events worldwide and across the country. She won one Emmy Award in her early professional career for reporting on the arrest for Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow award when she reported the devastating news of the hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone, from Stamford has been named an as an honorary trustee in recognition of her time as the board's chair since 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport became board chair following a tenure on the Board in 2013. Czekaj Farber replaces Barbara Streicker from Westport who held the position of chairperson for the past year and has continued to serve in this role since.
