Elizabeth Joanna Mitchell is an American actress. Born March 27, 1970, she is 5'9 inches tall. She is best known as the role of Dr. Juliet Burke in ABC's Lost TV series and FBI Agent Erica Evans in V. The Escape Clause as well as Gia. Mitchell currently co-stars in Eric Kripke's TV series Revolution that airs on NBC. Joseph Day Mitchell her stepfather are attorneys based in Dallas. Josephine Marian Mitchell who is nee Jenkins is also a Dallas lawyer. Mitchell along with her mother and two children relocated from New York to Dallas Texas where Mitchell's mother got married in 1975. Mitchell is a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School an all-public magnet school for visual and performing arts. Mitchell is the oldest of three sisters with the others of whom are Kristina Kristie Mitchell, Helen Kristie Mitchell as well as Katherine Day Kate Mitchell. In 1991, she graduated at Stephens College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and she was also enrolled in the British American Drama Academy.Mitchell worked for six years in Dallas Theater Center and a one-year stint at the Encore Theater.
