She left the television series 7th Heaven after performing in its sixth season. In the film Ulee's Gold, she gained instant recognition for her excellent acting. Actually, the film won her Best Supporting Actress of the Year. Summer Catch, a comedy film in which she was a part of shows her acting talent. In spite of her outstanding performance, Rules of Attraction was not a big hit. The Texas Chainshaw Massacre horror film caught the public's attention. In addition, she has featured in suspenseful film and proved herself an actress.
